Traveling can be so exciting with new sights, new experiences, and new kinds of yummy food to try.
But with new food can come some downsides, too. Upset stomach, constipation, diarrhea or simply moodiness from eating on a new schedule.
How can you help make sure you have a happy belly when you travel?
Bring your own healthy snacks. 🥕
Now, I know what you might be thinking. “But there will be food there!”
And you’re probably right.
But the reality is not every food option out there will leave you feeling energized, happy, and ready to enjoy your day.
Think about it. You’re stuck in airport security with a rumbling tummy and the only option is a $15 mystery sandwich.
Or you’re at the beach and the closest snack stop only sells candy and sugary sodas.
Sound familiar?
That’s where a little pre-planning and packing can be your best friend!
Bringing your own healthy goodies isn’t about being restrictive; it’s about being empowered.
It’s about fueling your body with what makes it feel good, saving some cash along the way, and making your travel (or daily life!) a whole lot smoother.
My golden rule: Bring food and water every time you leave the house!
Seriously! Whether you’re gone for five minutes or five hours, having a little something on hand can make a world of difference. 👍🏼
You wouldn’t leave home without your keys or your phone (probably!), so let’s add a healthy snack and a water bottle to that essential list. 🍎
To help, I have a free download for you of Healthy Travel Snacks!
Print it out or have it on your phone as you shop for your trip. Whether you have a cooler or not – you can be better prepared to feel more energized, less bloated, and waaaay less hangry on your travels!
Packing your own healthy options is not only good for your body but also for your bank account. Think of all the fun things you can do with those extra dollars saved! 💵
So, the next time you’re heading out the door, take a few extra moments to pack some healthy fuel. Your body (and your wallet!) will thank you.
